Badge Studio 2.5.0: A new version to improve user experience
Integrated with the Badgy100 and Badgy200 solutions, Badge Studio software allows you to easily create and personalize your badges and cards as you wish. A new version (2.5.0) is now available: redesigned ergonomics for an improved user experience, thanks in particular to the integration of a new printer driver.
Integration of a new driver: what changes?
The new version of Badge Studio includes a new printer driver: Badgy Premium Suite 2, which succeeds Badgy Premium Suite. A printer driver is software that serves as an intermediary between the computer and the printer. With this new version, Badgy users will now benefit from:
A more modern, ergonomic and intuitive interface.
Tools to facilitate diagnostics for support and technical teams.
Compatibility with macOS and Windows.
A new color profile to optimize the final print output: due to this color adjustment, your cards may appear slightly different than usual. This adjustment is closer to what you see on your computer screen, but if you wish to keep the previous settings, you can revert to the old configuration.
Mac users will benefit from the same notification system as Windows users whenever their intervention is required: open cover, ribbon nearly finished, no cards… Links to Badgy support pages have also been added to better assist users.
A window offering the Badge Studio 2.5.0 update will automatically open when you launch your software. You will also have the option to download it online.
The update will be suggested, but your software will continue to work normally if you choose not to update. However, maintenance for the Badgy Premium Suite version will no longer be available. We therefore invite you to update your version to benefit from the latest improvements provided by the new Badgy Premium Suite 2 print driver.
By switching to Badge Studio 2.5.0, all your settings and card templates will be retained.
This new update includes the addition of a new color profile, for print output even closer to the colors displayed on your Badge Studio software. You may therefore notice a slight difference in the rendering of your cards. However, if you wish to return to the color settings of the previous version, you can do so from Badgy Premium Suite 2. You will need to go to the driver, then printer settings, and then to the color category. From there, simply click: ‘Do not apply’.
